To start with, this has a WUXGA (Widescreen Ultra eXtended Graphics Array) Active matrix display screen with a frame resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. This is sometimes referred to in marketing materials as "Full High-Definition" or 1080p. ‘p’ denotes progressive scanning. Unlike interlaced scanning method adopted by traditional television sets, progressive or non-interlaced scanning method creates every 1/60 second an entire frame of picture or image from left to right producing brilliant flicker-free images.

The Philps 42PFL7603D LCD TV has 2 exclusively built-in wOOx loudspeakers that blend themselves with the architecture of the flat panel perfectly and dynamically enhance a superior bass and sound experience. The wOOx technology was developed by Philips which involves optimization of the 3 components of the loudspeaker system namely the active bass driver, the bass radiator and active equalization.

You no more need an additional set top box and extra cables as the 42PFL9732D/10 has a built-in integrated digital DVB-T tuner that enables you to watch digital terrestrial TV in comfort and cosiness. Use the USB slot to plug in camcorders and mp3 players, save and share cherishable movies, music and photos.

The 4 HDMI inputs (3 on the back and 1 at the sides) for connecting multiple HD sources provide you the complete hi-tech HD experience. EasyLink
